Psychiatric support
Support provided by NCU
Since 1 January 2024, Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń has been collaborating with the private healthcare provider Niepubliczny Zakład Opieki Zdrowotnej Remedis Sp. z o.o. to promote mental well-being within the academic community by offering free psychiatric consultations.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION!
Dear Students and PhD Students,
Starting from May 1, 2025, the regulations regarding psychiatric consultations provided by Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń will change.
For students and PhD Students, a new limit of 3 consultations will be introduced. This change is primarily due to the fact that the offered consultations are generally intended as crisis intervention for mental health issues and do not replace long-term therapy. Additionally, reducing the number of consultations will allow more people to benefit from this form of support.
These changes apply to individuals who have their first appointment with a psychiatrist after May 1. Those who began their treatment before this date will still be entitled to 4 consultations.
Please note that psychiatric consultations offered by the University are not available to individuals who have already started treatment elsewhere (with another doctor or at another facility).
